Building out the morphological chart
General team status check, then a payload session building out the morphological chart. Last log's sensing table is now condensed into annotated cells with images. Next step is picking a complete stack.

What I’m trying to achieve
Get updated on what the rest of the avionics team is doing, then finish the morphological chart.
Meeting: general avionics
Attendees: Amjad, Anas, Andrew, Aurora, Charles, Cody, Ella, Eric, Govind, Inderveer, Matthew, Radman, Ron, Sam. (Many more, not recorded.)
Status round from each subteam:
- Firmware still refactoring.
- Other subteams still researching.
- Some inventory work still going on.
Meeting: payload
Attendees: Amjad, Aurora, Owen, Leo, Isaac.
Working session to build the morphological chart. Basically just put pictures of each subsystem with commends in the cells.
I took my comparison table from the last log, summarised each entry into a short paragraph, and embedded those as comments in the chart alongside the images.
Driving questions
- How many motors can we stuff on the payload?
- How configurable is the bottom of the plane?
- Do we give up on the flight time bonus to make sure the payload is delivered and captured perfectly?
- What makes a “complete stack” of options good enough to commit to?
Next
- Meet with the team and pick a complete stack of options.
